Our client, a boutique investment firm, are currently looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their growing team. This is a superb opportunity where you will have exposure to many facets of the business and play an integral part during an exciting time of change and growth.
Key Duties
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Bookkeeping and managing payroll providers
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage inter company balances
- Have primary responsibility for all company banking
- Preparation of statistical returns
- Prepare journals to ensure costs are recognised in the correct accounting period
- Responsible for Fixed Asset register and Depreciation
- Support in the development and production of forecasts, budgets, and financial plans
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
- Analytical review of the company’s financial performance based on financial records
- Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
- Preparation of year end schedules
- Monthly / quarterly / annual sales commissions calculations
- Overseeing and managing other aspects of financial operations
- Maintaining financial controls and processes
- Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Excel
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant
- Familiar with Xero advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to talk ‘finance’ to non-finance people
