Office Manager

One of our clients based in Wokingham is looking for an Office Manager / Executive Assistant. This role combines office management, executive support, and operational coordination. You’ll work closely with the MD to ensure priorities are actioned, decisions are followed through, and the business is supported day to day. You will act as the bridge between the MD and the wider team, helping turn ideas into actions and keeping everything on track.

Hours and Location

This position is a hybrid position plus can be a 4 day a week role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the office, ensuring a tidy, stocked, and well-organised workspace.
  • Be the first point of contact for visitors, suppliers, and general enquiries.
  • Oversee office supplies, IT coordination, and equipment maintenance.
  • Support the leadership team with diary management, meeting arrangements, and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate employee records; assist with onboarding and HR admin.
  • Help with basic finance tasks including invoice processing, expenses, and petty cash.
  • Maintain health and safety policies and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Coordinate company communications, social events, and team-building activities.
  • Support various ad hoc tasks as needed – from project support to helping improve internal processes.

Essential:

  • Previous experience in an Office Manager, PA, or senior admin role – ideally in a small business.
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Friendly, approachable, and trustworthy with a high level of discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with basic bookkeeping or using accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Familiarity with HR processes or systems.
  • Knowledge of health & safety or facilities coordination.
