Credit Control Manager

£31,000 – £35,000 per annum

I am seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to join a dynamic Finance team. You would be the key member of staff within the team overseeing the entire Credit Control / Sales Ledger function. Great opportunity to join a growing organisation based in the Bracknell area.

Duties and responsibilities of the Credit Control Manager:

  • Credit checks on clients and risk assessment
  • Managing Sales Ledger, allocating cash, resolving all customer queries and clearing of journals
  • Develop Policies and Procedures
  • Weekly Aged Debt reviews and agree future action
  • Monitor payment dates
  • Reconcile and close Sales Ledger at period end
  • Manage and motivate the Credit Control team, setting objectives for the staff
  • Maintain your own customer ledger, liaise with clients via phone, email and fax and administer all admin paperwork including sending of Invoices, sending of Statements and Filing receipts
  • Liaise with Sales and Business Managers regarding overdue accounts and escalate where necessary
  • Identify accounts that may require special attention
  • Customer management regarding paperwork and Company guidelines and Business needs


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good listening skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to engage with staff and clients
  • Working knowledge of Access Dimensions desirable
  • Brilliant communication – written and verbal
  • Friendly and firm telephone manner
  • Membership of CICM desirable
  • Methodical approach to work
  • Highly organised
  • Able to work under pressure and remain calm whilst working to meet deadlines
