Our client, a leading Charity Healthcare provider in the Thames Valley that prides themselves on bringing hospital care to the roadside. They’re looking for a PR and Social Media Executive on a Fixed Term contract for 3months to join their friendly communications team, with the potential of going permanent.

This role is to support the delivery of communications and brand strategies to engage and influence the company’s varied audiences. To act as a primary contact for media engagement and for driving content across all channels available to the firm.

With no direct reports, paying £28K-30K / £120-150pd – Fixed Term Contract; 3months. Working hours between 28-37.5 hrs.

Responsibilities

  • Communications Strategy, Planning & Delivery – as a member of the Communications Team, actively support the planning, implementation and constant review of the company’s communications strategy and annual plans.
  • Website and Social Media – with the support of the Head of Communications take a lead in ensuring fresh and relevant content for the company website.
  • Media Relations and PR –Draft, edit and distribute materials to the media as directed by the Head of Communications.
  • Brand – support the protection of the company.
  • Health & Safety – Take responsibility for their own health, safety and welfare, comply with TVAA H&S policy and procedures, and not act in any way that compromises the safety of themselves, colleagues or the public.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in marketing or PR role
  • Experience of social media content planning and delivery
  • Experience of social media content planning and delivery
  • Experience of working with the media
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise deadlines
  • Ability to assimilate information to create effective communications
  • Ability to think creatively in delivering communications and content
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with close attention to detail
  • Comprehensive knowledge and usability of all key social media channels
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends

Desirable:

  • Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or similar
  • Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with essential evaluative communications tools such as media monitoring services/software and social media/digital insights and analytics tools
